  These paintings are part of series titled Dwellings.  The inspiration comes from the ancient cliff dwellings in northern New Mexico at Bandelier National Monument. The openings to the dwellings, the runes or ancient writing/images on the walls and the contrast between the blue sky and the cliff all played a part in the creation of this work.
