The Encaustic Art Institute opens it's National Juried Exhibition, which
was open to all encaustic/wax artists nation-wide to enter. Michael
Kessler juried in 49 paintings out of the bulk of entries for this show.
Michael has been making and exhibiting encaustic paintings throughout
the US and Europe for 35 years. His paintings have been shown in over
250 exhibitions in the USA and Europe, and his work is included in over
25 museum collections.
This
show represents an amazing variety of artists and only required that
their pieces contain wax or encaustic elements. The diversity and range
of styles are exciting to behold. A cash award for Award of Excellence and Best of Show will be announced at the opening.
