I've had to away from the studio a bit and this quote from Susan Rothenberg says it all:
" You build up a head of steam. If you're four days out of the studio,on the fifth day you really crash in there. You will kill anybody who disturbs you on that fifth day, when you desperately need it.

I like each stage! Also really like your commissions below. Some commissions are a delight; others are demons, depending on the client. I am helping someone at the moment who is dealing with a very wishy-washy client who has no clue what's really involved in making art (or the time it takes). The most difficult one I've ever had involved a watchdog committee concerned with "political correctness". It was a mural for a government-sponsored children's dental clinic, renting space from the Assemblies of God (quite a combination!). Had to change the lightning rod on the (red) barn because it looked too much like a cross (gov.), and remove the udders from the cows - too sexy for the A.G. Picky, picky!
